Alright so here's the latest on the car. I have put just over 900 miles on the engine now, and have located some issues that may have possibly fixed other issues.
There was a pretty big oil leak on one side of the engine, and a smaller leak on the other. After investigating this, it appears that a valve cover bolt was broken inside the head, therefore not sealing the valve cover gasket, and furthermore creating the leak. I got the bolt out, tapped it for a new bolt, and it torqued down correctly and at the right torque specifications. ran it for a day, no leaks any more on that side of the engine.
The smaller oil leaks were from the 0-rings that go under the cam angle sensor and the cam cap. I replaced those with some good sealer and that fixed all the oil leaks.
I then started the motor, it was idling significantly lower at around 500rpm. I look under the hood and hear a vacuum leak. It's the PCV valve line, and it's missing the grommet. That has been ordered along with new PCV valve and that should take care of that, which was a really good possibility of being the main problem with my boost leak. Once confirmed then it'll be time to invest in a boost controller so i can maximize the potential of the turbo on the car.
i believe that the pressurized air was pushing out the leaks on the o-rings and valve cover gasket and the PCV valve, so i wasn't getting a sealed system, which would make sense why the car had semi-erratic behavior and idle hunt. It idles steady now, and is not erratic, so i think i figured out the boost leak. So now i'm just waiting to get another tune done by a friend.
Another thing that's needed to be done is removing the exhaust manifold because there's a small hole from one of the welds, and i'll have to have a welding shop fix it.
While waiting for my friend, i opted to start working on the body to at least get that going and making progress on the car as a whole.
So i got an angle grinder and cut out the rust spots in the rear wheel well areas, and took the rear spoiler off to start working on filling in the damaged parts with filler. So about 3 to 5 attempts at getting it looking right, i finally got the spoiler on and looking good for primer. I'm not too concerned about the overspray right now because i'll be sanding it down anyways when i get to that point of the body work.

Got the car running!!!!
After 5 years, it feels good to hear it start and run for the first time. I flew a guy out from North Carolina (Thanks Aamir, and I hope your father is doing well!) to help me with it. There was a couple issues with wiring that were addressed, and so forth.
Here's a couple videos of it running.
Starting for the first time:

It idles on it's own:

Since i got it running i have all the wiring put back where it needs to be. There was an oil line leak that i fixed as well. I got the interior close to put back together for now, and am getting it tuned this weekend!
